FRIENDS Resources

When you undertake a FRIENDS program, you have access to many resources and flexible options for delivering critical resilience skills for our health and wellbeing. This includes books, videos and many online resources including activities, posters and reading material.

ACTIVITY BOOKS

Participants have an activity book with background information, classroom activities and resilience strategies for each skills session. Participants use the books to follow activities, review and reference. They are available in an appealing full colour format:

FACILITATOR MANUAL

Facilitators delivering the programs have a manual to guide each session and allow a systematic approach to program delivery. The manual contains background information, detailed session plans with aims, outcomes, guided classroom activities and suggested strategies.

TRAINING RESOURCES

For the accreditation of the Facilitators delivering the FRIENDS programs, the following training resources are provided for the different Friends skills programs.

Skills Training Videos

There are two options for the Facilitator accreditation training:

Face-to-Face with Trainer
An accredited trainer runs Face-to-Face training for a group of facilitators in a classroom or video conferencing setting using our presentations.

The online resources below are also available as part of the facilitator Training Resources, as well as for delivering the FRIENDS programs.

The facilitator completes the training program online individually using our skills training videos at their pace and convenience.

FAMILY RESILIENCE SKILLS

The family resilience program has powerful resources including various books, and a comprehensive 2-hour video, to give you and your family effective resilience skills and strategies. These resources are designed to empower individuals, families, and communities with effective resilience skills to cope positively to life’s challenges.

Friends Resilience Mobile Games

The FRIENDS Programs Game

We are excited to have the FRIENDS Programs app. The game app is available to download for free on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad.

The FRIENDS game is based on the FRIENDS social coaching and development programs, written by Professor Paula Barrett. This game covers content suitable for children participating in Friends For Life and Fun Friends and is designed to reinforce the concepts learnt in the FRIENDS program through a fun, interactive electronic medium.
